There’s a free festival coming to Sligo this month

Festivals? Free stuff? It’s the combination of two of our favourite things!

On September 25th the people of Sligo town will be treated to performances by Paddy Casey, Soda Blonde, Damien Dempsey and more. A seriously impressive line up for a free gig.

Wild Roots in the Park will take place in the Stephen Street car park in Sligo Town from 11am-1pm on Saturday the 25th, with free admission on a first come, first served basis. The event is kid friendly with circus acts, fireworks and more, and sounds like a gorge way to celebrate the first month back to school (we’ll celebrate anything these days, it’s only right after so many months of being able to do nothing).

And if you’re already planning next summer and looking to fit in as many festivals as is humanly possible to make up for lost time, tickets for the Wild Roots full weekend festival next June are already on sale. Not only is there a deadly line-up showcasing the best of Irish music and comedy, there’s also an ADVENTURE LAND area with rock climbing, archery, ariel yoga and loads of other Bear Grylls-esque activities. Sure what more could you ask for, in all fairness.
