21 Photos That Prove That Achill Is Ireland’s Most Beautiful Island

niallharbison

There are places in Ireland that you absolutely have to visit, but despite hearing about them all the time so few of us have bothered making the short trips.

Tourists have often been to more of the iconic spots than we Irish have ourselves. I’m talking about the Aran Islands, The Giant’s Causeway and Donegal. The places that take a while to get to but where you’re rewarded with incredible scenery and things to do upon arrival.

One prime example of this is Achill Island. We’ve all heard of it, many have been but for the vast majority it’s another place that still needs to be ticked off the list.

Over the coming weeks we’re going to be telling you all about the Smithwick’s 10° West, an alternative way to ring in 2018 this December 31 and January 1 on Achill Island… but more on that later.

To get you hyped for the festival, we thought we’d share some positively breathtaking photos of Achill Island with you. Won’t be long before you’re planning that trip after you take a look at these…

Where else could you get a view like this when kite surfing?

When the sun shines here it really is something else…

Anything is possible when you come to Achill…

Tempted to visit? Then why not use Smithwick’s 10° West as the excuse you need to make the trip to Achill Island before the sun sets on 2017.

Unfortunately, tickets sold out pretty fast. However… we got out hands on the final pair of tickets. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram accounts on December 20th to be in with a chance of winning the final pair!
