Here Are 7 Charming Places To Stay While Visiting Achill Island

seank

Achill is Ireland’s largest island just off the coast of Mayo and is simply waiting to be explored, but you’ll want to source the right digs before you make the trek there.

Since the Smithwick’s 10° West is taking place on the island this New Year’s, it’s safe to assume that Achill Island will be brimming with visitors over the holidays so if that includes you, it’s time to start thinking about getting your accommodation sorted.

We’ve had a bit of a nose about to find the most charming places to stay on Achill and here’s what we’ve came up with…

Achill Cliff House Hotel

Most likely your first port of call when it comes to Achill accommodation, the family-run business has been nominated for Best Hotel Restaurant Award 2015 and bagged itself a RAC Dining Award.

Not only does the hotel serve up locally sourced dishes and carefully selected wines, it even overlooks Trawmore Beach and the Mighty Minaun Cliffs.
