Ireland’s Dream Hotel Break Part 5 — the gibson

seank

When you think of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, you think of celebrities crashing in the world’s trendiest, quirkiest hotels and having their every whim catered to.

That’s the kind of luxury that the gibson aims to give their average, everyday customer.

The hotel always has an amazing special offer that you can avail of — like Summer Daze, RockstarDate Mates, and Namast’ay Sunday to name but a few — so that you can experience the place for yourself.

Why to come a-knockin’

Billing itself as the “ultimate urban retreat”, the Point Square hotel is close, but not too close, to the city centre; the Luas line starts right outside its front down and whisks you to O’Connell Street in just five minutes.

It’s ideally situated right beside the 3Arena and vibrant bars, restaurants, theatres and galleries are all easily accessed with the gibson as your base.

It’s no great mystery why it was chosen as the swanky setting for RTÉ’s popular show First Dates Ireland.

Rock ‘n’ roll all night

The Rockstar gibson suite is aptly named — what with its private wraparound balcony, walk-in wardrobe and state-of-the-art sound system — as you’ll get a taste of the celebrity experience in these surroundings.

Upon checking in you’ll be given the opportunity to select a ‘bloom in your room’, which is a mini flower vase that will brighten up your stay just that little bit more. Just one of the gibson’s signature hallmarks.

As a guest of the hotel, you get full access to the ‘Relaxation Area’. Venture out onto your private outdoor terrace, sink into one of two Zen Japanese Jacuzzi baths and enjoy the stunning view of the Dublin-Wicklow Mountains. For maximum luxury, order champagne and sip on it while you soak.

We’re feeling zen already.

There’s also a sauna, steam room, and well-equipped gym for you to enjoy during your stay.

Party like a Rockstar

While the city’s best bars and restaurants are mere minutes away, you really don’t need to leave for some premium winin’ and dinin’.

If gourmet pan European cuisine is what you’re looking for, the hotel’s coda eatery is just the place. Should you be more in the mood for a little Asian fusion, however, hemi bar is where you should be dining — and you can enjoy a few of their mixologists’ expertly made cocktails while you’re at it.

In the morning, drop into coda to gently recover from all those cocktails with their breakfast offerings, including freshly brewed coffee, luxury pastries and hot dishes like scrambled eggs or sausages.
