Since the start of the new year, we have been daydreaming about one thing. Sunny holidays! Looking forward to soaking up some sun in the most beautiful and exciting destinations is what’s getting us through these January blues.
On that note, we’ve been given some susnpiration to book our next trip and get our fix of Vitamin D. Getting through January is an achievement in itself. I don’t know about you, but I think we all deserve a reward for seeing it through to the end.

Sicily
The Italian island that has it all: sun, beach and amazing, delicious food. For somewhere that’s only a few hours away, it really is another world.
Aer Lingus flies into Catania in East Sicily, a region that has its fair share of beaches to lay on, sights to see and amazing adventures to be had.

Imagine it now: spending the morning checking out some of the city’s top attractions (like the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s House, the Gothic Quarter) before heading over to the Barceloneta Beach to flake out for the afternoon, soaking up all the sun that you can.
After sunbathing and going for a dip in the Mediterranean, head to one of the restaurants dotted along the beach, such as Jefferson, Bo Kaap and La Deliciousa.
Faro
This is hands down one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous sunny spots you could visit this year. But there’s way more to Faro than its beauty. There is absolutely loads to do.
When you travel here, you can’t miss out on the islands. There are a few companies offering tours of the islands that last a few hours, giving you a chance to soak up the sun as you bob along the clearest water you’ve ever seen.
Plus, the region is home to some of the most gorgeous beach destinations in Europe, such as Albufeira, Lagos, Portimao and Benagil.
Malaga
Malaga is an unreal shout because there is a range of fabulous destinations you can choose from.
Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Nerja and Torremolinos all make for insanely fun and exciting holidays (where you’ll find all the sun you could possibly ask for).
What to do? Well, hit the beach, of course. Alternate between sunbathing, splashing about in the sea and trying out all of the insanely fun activities on offer, such as parasailing, hanging onto a banana boat for dear life and zooming about on a speedboat, to name just a few.
Each destination has its fair share of delicious eateries along their promenades, serving up everything from American-style cuisine to authentic Spanish delights.
