Get the togs out.

After spending the earlier part of this year being battered by an assortment of storms, Ireland is set to enjoy a few more days of sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Temperatures are expected to reach a delightful 18C today in parts, staying roughly between 14C and 17C for the rest of the week according to Met Éireann.

Met Éireann have said that temperatures today will touch “18 degrees locally, warmest in the midlands, west and north”.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday is predicted to start off cloudy with the odd shower in some parts, however it’s expected to get sunnier as the day goes on with “highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in land with sea breezes developing”.

Saturday will be dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, although “slightly cooler along northern and eastern coasts”.

Sunday will be “dry with good sunshine and a light northeast breeze. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 or 17 degrees”.

Despite the warmer temperatures during the day, the nights are expected to be chilly with touches of grass frost possible. Other than that, we’re in for a pretty decent weekend.

Prepare yourselves. Pasty lads with their tops off are coming to a canal near you.
