Your Black Friday Game Plan: Here’s How To Bag The Best Deals

Zoe

Calling all bargain hunters!

It’s not long until the craziest shopping weekend of the year arrives and you know as much as we do – you gotta be quick to get the best deals. When it comes to Black Friday, there are tonnes of tips and tricks that will help you shop like a pro.

Lucky for you – you can shop to your hearts content thanks to KBC.

When you use your KBC credit card, you get 1% cashback on grocery and online purchases, so you can feel a little less guilty about your fancy splurges.*

Here’s our go-to list to nab the best bargains this year.

1. Make a list

Now, this might sound obvious but it’s a game changer. Knowing what you’re looking for before entering the Black Friday madness is half the battle.

Make things even easier for yourself by adding your wish list items to your basket or cart in advance. Some websites such as Amazon, will actually let you know if these items have been discounted so you can keep track. Handy!

If you really want to plan ahead, make note of different shops selling the same items. If one place sells out, you’ll know where to go so you don’t miss out.

2. Start early

Let’s be honest – Black Friday is no longer a one-day shopping spree. Most brands bring their sales forward and tempt us with pre-sale sales. Nice one.

So when it comes to this highly anticipated weekend, the early bird truly does catch the worm. Set your alarms and the better your chances of finding the items you want on sale and in stock.

3. Sign up for emails

Pick the brands you know you’ll be shopping with and sign up to receive their newsletters in advance.

Not only will you be among the first to hear about their offers, they might include sale previews, extra discounts or slash prices last minute. Genius!

Alternatively, if you’re not mad keen on clogging up your inbox, head to social media where brands ramp up their activity and push promotions daily and make sure to follow the accounts you’re interested in.

4. Shop in your pj’s

We’ve all seen the cliche Black Friday news clips of people queuing up for days ahead of the sale, climbing over each other – even the odd fight breaking out over the last vegetable steamer.

Almost all the same deals can be found online, sometimes there are bigger and better deals online.

If you do shop online, check if the shop has a click-and-collect option. This means you can avoid crazy shoppers and delivery fees. WINNING.

5. Don’t forget about Cyber Monday

Odds are you’ll be all shopped out by the time Monday comes around, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a peek at the sales.

Known for its tech deals, Cyber Monday can produce some pretty epic bargains on laptops, cameras, printers and more. If you missed out on something, keep checking different retailers over the weekend and on Monday for more deals.
