Conor McGregor insists he has turned over a new leaf in many parts of his life and his new, more humble behaviour was on full display at the UFC 246 press conference.
Conor McGregor didn't utter a single word of trash talk when he shared the stage with Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone for their pre-fight UFC 246 press conference on Wednesday night.
In fact, you'd be excused for refusing to believe that McGregor and Cerrone were days away from competing against one another in a mixed martial arts bout, such was the positive vibe between the pair.
On multiple occasions, McGregor and Cerrone laughed along with one another in one of the least tense press conferences in UFC history.
At one point, the two even exchanged compliments on their outfits.
McGregor, who proudly revealed that he has abstained from alcohol for several months in preparation for his UFC comeback, answered several questions about his new, respectful demeanour and insisted that he is just being himself.
"I’m as real as it gets," he said. "I react to how the situation is. This situation seems to be a little different. There’s nothing false or fake. It’s just me being real."
Viewers weren't too sure about the new version of McGregor, with many suggesting this particular pre-fight press conference was boring.

As for the Irishman's opponent, 'Cowboy' was delighted to avoid any drama before getting into the Octagon in the main event of UFC 246.
"We're just professionals," Cerrone said. "Why can't Conor just sit here and hold himself like he's doing? This is fucking amazing, are you kidding me?
"I mean, you guys [media] aren't getting the clickbait and all the shit that y'all want but as a man, my hat's off to this son of a bitch for sitting here."
