Full Breakdown Of Train and DART Disruptions This Bank Holiday Weekend

The buses will be busy this Halloween weekend, as major disruptions are expected for train and DART users. 

Work due to be carried out across the rail network means that tens of thousands of passengers could be affected, with the rail service depending on the bus network to cater for passengers on certain routes. 

Routes affected include: 

Cork to Dublin - All rail services Saturday and Sunday will be operated by bus transfers between Mallow and Cork, with train services operating only from Mallow to Dublin Heuston. 

The Friday 4pm Heuston - Cork and the 18:20 Cork - Heuston will be the last services to operate direct. 

Friday 27th 17:05 services Heuston-Tralee and Tralee - Cork will be the last services to operate direct, with all services thereafter being bus transfers between Mallow/Banteer/Mallow.

On Monday 1st the 07.00 Heuston-Cork and the 07.00, 09.20, 13.35 Cork-Heuston services will be operated by bus transfers between Mallow/Cork/Mallow with train services operating from Mallow to Dublin Heuston.

09.00 and 10.00 Heuston - Cork and the 10.20, 11.20, 12.20 hours Cork/Heuston services will be operated by bus transfers between Charleville/Cork/Charleville.

13.20 Cork - Heuston will operate with bus transfer to Mallow with the train operating from Mallow - Heuston.

11.00 hours Heuston - Cork and the deferred 14.35 hours Cork - Heuston will be first train services to operate fully throughout in each direction.

07.05, 09.05 , and 11.05 hours ex Tralee will have bus transfers in operation between Banteer/Mallow.

08.55  Cork - Tralee service will have bus transfers in operation between Cork/Mallow/Banteer.

11.20 Mallow - Tralee will operate as a bus transfers throughout, starting from Charleville.

Dublin to Belfast - Saturday and Sunday will operate as bus transfers serving Drogheda, Dundalk, Newry, Portadown, Lurgan and Lisburn.

Saturday's 6:45 train from Belfast to Dublin Connolly won't stop at Lisburn or Lurgan, while the 16:50 from Dublin Connolly to Belfast won't service Drogheda. 

Drogheda and Dundalk commuter services will serve Skerries only, with a bus transfer between Skerries and Dublin Connolly serving Donabate. 

Limerick On Saturday/Sunday, services to Cork, Galway, Waterford and Ballybrophy will operate with revised times. 


There will be no DART service between Dublin Connolly and Malahide/Howth, with Dublin bus accepting valid rail tickets for affected routes. 

Bus transfer will operate between Skerries/Donabate and Connolly. 

Rush and Lusk stations will be closed, with Dublin bus accepting valid rail tickets for travel between Rush/Lusk and Connolly.
