Take note if you're travelling this Easter weekend.

Ongoing line improvement works will cause major disruption to those who are planning on travelling around the country.

Here are some of the main points to note:

- Good Friday will see services offer a usual Saturday timetable until 7pm on their DART and Northern, Maynooth and Cork commuter lines.

- After 7pm, the Connolly Station to Skerries line will remain closed up to and including Easter Sunday.

- On Easter Saturday, works will be carried out between Hazelhatch and Sallins on the Dublin to Cork line. There will be bus transfers available during this time.

- Easter Sunday will see some alterations.

- Easter Monday will see operation of a Sunday service.

Passengers are advised to check ALL times before travelling. Go to the Irish Rail website for more information on how to plan your journey
