12 Incredible Ryanair Destinations You Have To Visit In 2018

mariemadden

There was a time when travelling required lots of money and tons of time off.

Thankfully, my friends, that time has passed and you can now squeeze in a trip to some of Europe’s hot spots as long as you have €50 in your pocket and 24hrs to spare.

While it might not be the most luxurious experience, we do have Ryanair to thank for bringing flight costs to ridiculously low levels and a little planning can go a long way when it comes to making the most of these.

We’ve rounded up 15 of the airline’s best destinations so you can be ready to book next time you see a seat sale.

Malta

This is still a seriously underrated destination but we reckon its popularity is going to skyrocket over the next few years. Travel anytime between May and October and you can expect gorgeous weather and stunning views.

There’s plenty of beaches and crystal clear lagoons, as well as tasty Mediterranean food and friendly people. Check out some of the most common attractions here.

Malta

Nice

Paris might be the most popular French destination but in our humble opinion, Nice is just as nice (and who needs the hassle of travelling from Beauvais).

The French Riviera is as dreamy as it sounds, from strolling along the beaches to exploring the Old Town. And don’t forget to check out the incredible views from Castle Hill. Bliss. Find out more here.

Nice

Budapest

If you’re looking for a little pampering (and honestly, who isn’t?), Budapest is the perfect destination for you. Hungary’s capital is one of the most stunning cities in Europe and is home to the Széchenyi Baths

There’s museums, historic landmarks and you’ll get a pint for about €1.50. Find out more here.

Budapest

Prague

Another scenic spot, this time in the Czech Republic, Prague is full of beautiful timeless architecture from St Vinus Cathedral to Charles Bridge.

It’s a popular tourist spot so it’s worth checking out in the off-season but keep an eye on the weather as it can get pretty chilly! Check out more about the city here.

Prag

Edinburgh

A little closer to home but no less impressive, Edinburgh is a vibrant and unique city that offers something for everyone.

It’s the perfect destination for a quick weekend away but if you want to really experience it at full throttle, rent an AirBnB and pop over during the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. It definitely lives up to the hype, find out more here.

Edinburgh

Lanzarote

One of the nation’s favourite spots for a sun holiday and sure, why wouldn’t it be? Lanzarote is one of Spain’s Canary Islands and has plenty to offer outside of the usual beach resorts.

How about a visit to Timanfaye National Park and a guided tour of three volcanoes? Check out all of the details here.

Lanzarote

Berlin

If there’s a cooler city than Berlin, we haven’t found it. There are some absolutely incredible nightclubs and it’s a great spot for vegan/vegetarians, with a ton of interesting restaurant options.

This is not to mention the rich history of the city and sites like the Berlin Wall and the Holocaust Memorial. Find out more here.

Berlin

Salzberg

A trip to mainland Europe to see the amazing Christmas Markets is on many of our bucket lists and Austria is home to some of the most beautiful in the world.

Salzberg looks like it came straight out of a movie, with the Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mozart’s birthplace among the must-see sights. It’s also a great starting point for a skiing trip, find out more here.

Salzberg

Bucharest

This Southern Romanian city is a hidden gem and having visited for St Patrick’s Day a few years back, we would definitely recommend. The most popular landmarks include the Romanian Athenaeum and Palace of Parliament but a stroll around the Old Town is just as impressive. Find out more here.

Bucharest

Marrakesh

The fourth largest city in Morocco, Marrakesh is a fantastic hub of culture and temperatures are still around 18 degrees Celsius even in the coldest months.

Shop for some bargains in the city’s honeycomb of souks and make sure to check out some of the fab palaces and riads. The perfect trip for a little Vitamin D! Find out more here.

Marrakesh

Manchester

Only a short hop across the pond, Manchester is a great spot for a short break. Pick up some new vinyl in one of the great independent record shops, take a cruise down the canal, visit Old Trafford or get some retail therapy at one of the city’s shopping centres.

You definitely won’t be bored! Find out more here or check out our Manchester Bucket List.

Manchester

Warsaw

A member of the Lovin team is just back from this Polish city and despite the absolutely freezing weather, she reckons it’s a must-see.

There’s loads to check out including the Palace of Culture and Science – the tallest building in the country. Find out more here.
