If you think that property is expensive here in Ireland then you obviously haven’t been paying too much attention to the New York market where the first $100 million condo (apartment to us) has just been sold. The property is the penthouse in this building and although the buyer wishes to remain anonymous you’d imagine they are a billionaire.

The unit is 10,923-square-foot and is spread over the 89th and 90th floors with the most stunning views of Central Park and downtown Manhattan imaginable. The final price was 100.5 million which beats the previous New York record of $88 million set a couple of years ago. We can always dream!
