In their new publication,’The Cities Book‘ they reveal the top destinations for food, drink, museums and the likes.
It seems that the best place to go for wine in Europe in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Tbilisi is renowned not only for its historic cobblestoned old town, but for its vast range of wine.
The Lonely Planet said that Tbilisi will ‘satisfy the taste buds of wine lovers’.
While many restaurants around the town sell Georgian brewed wine, The Georgian Wine House should be on your list of places to visit with a huge range of wines from around the area to try out.
If you’re willing to travel a little bit outside the town, the boutique hotel Chateau Aznauri is a must see.
It’s the first of its kind and is located on the vineyards of Kakheti.
It has a restaurant that can host up to 40 people, wine tasting evenings, master classes and much more.
