As you can see from these photos, the tiered pools are filled with steaming sulphur water that's nearly 37ºC.

A two-hour drive from Siena, the springs are located outside of the town of Saturnia. They're 100% free to visit which makes them very busy - but they are definitely worth the wait.
If you wanna go all out and splash some cash then the surrounding resort, Hotel Terme di Saturnia, offers bougie spa treatments, accommodation and great grub in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
