Ireland’s First Ever Direct Ferry Route To Spain Sets Sail Next Week

Sarah

Still haven’t decided where to go on hollibops this summer? Well, the news that the first ever direct ferry route from Ireland to Spain will begin next week has us buzzin’ for some sunshine.

Britanny Ferries will set sail from Cork to Santander next week and look, it does take quite a while (as in 26 hours to 33 hours depending on sailings) but isn’t that part of the fun?

The new route offers two overnight sailings each week with departures from Cork on a Wednesday and Friday and departures from Santander on a Thursday and Sunday.

Passengers can expect “a simple but comfortable no-frills service and, although not providing the premium experience offered by our cruise ferries, Connemara has a choice of cabins, lounges, self-service dining, shopping and a café/bar.”

Santander looks absolutely beaut too…

Prices start from €211 per person return for one car with four passengers sharing a four-berth inside cabin.

Would you be up for it?
