Nearby, you’ll find adventure centres, spas, restaurants, and more.
Go horse riding in Louisburgh, climb the highest mountain in Connaught or paddle around Killary Harbour in one of the host’s canoes.
The cottage itself is also lovely – bright, cheery and decorated in a tasteful rustic style.
You’ll find plenty of antiques dotted about, including a vintage radio that still works.
When you arrive you’ll be greeted with welcome pack containing fresh produce and turf or wood for the big open fire.
The host also lives close by so is available if you need anything.
Though it’s listed as a cottage it’s actually surprisingly spacious, sleeping up to eight people across four bedrooms.
It’s priced at about €145 a night, which means it’s less than €20 each if you have a full house. Bargain!
