LOTR and The Hobbit fans, consider your morning absolutely made.
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole and that means comfort.
You can now stay in an actual Hobbit home that’s been charmingly built into the side of a hill in rural Wales, with a country pub a short walk away.
The Hobbit House has a wood-fired cooker so that you can cook your own meals and there is running water just outside, and a large sofabed folds out to a full-sized double bed.
It looks absolutely lovely
This review has us convinced it’s a top notch place
“As a lifelong Tolkien obsessive this was an absolute dream for me. I’ve seen lots of places that claim to be hobbit houses but never one that looks so authentically bag-end. I was shrieking in delight at so many of the little touches. The scenery is jaw droppingly stunning and there are walks a-plenty in the area. We had a wander and then sat outside watching the clouds roll down the mountains drinking wine.”
And it’s available to stay in from just €56 a night
Imagine how cute of a present this would be for a Tolkien fan? Quick ferry over to Wales and a weekend of brisk walks and pints in the local. Check out the full listing here.
