You can stay in this converted double decker bus in Cork and it looks insane

We’re mad for a unique accommodation experience, but this takes it to a whole new level. The Lux Bus in Cork is a converted double-decker bus that houses up to six people if they’re a family and four people if it’s a group of mates.

Would you sleep on a bus? Before seeing this, I would have said no. But my mind has been changed. Because I have stumbled across The Lux Bus, a converted bus accommodation option in Cork that looks absolutely unreal.

A mere four-minute drive from the town of Cobh, The Lux Bus promises ‘unique luxury’ in the form of a bright modern sparkling clean double-decker bus. It comes with your very own private outdoor snug, seating area, stove and BBQ as well as parking space for two cars. It’s a stand-alone accommodation, so you’ll have the outdoor area totally to yourself.

Originally a vintage London bus, there is now a Smart TV complete with Netflix in the main living area and main bedroom, a TV in the second bedroom with movies on a USB stick, WiFi throughout and a range of books and board games. Plus, there is a cosy fire on board as well as electric panel heating and a Dyson hot/cold portable heater.

The outdoor area is complete with a table and chairs while the snug features a solid fuel stove and purpose-built BBQ.

Your stay will also come with towels, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, new toothbrushes, a coffee machine with a choice of coffees and teas, salt, pepper, oil, butter, milk, bread and cereals.

To find out more about this unreal converted bus in Cork and to check its availability for when staycations return, head here.

The bus is suitable for four adults or six people if there are children.
