3.Gus O'Connor's, Doolin
A brilliant old style pub on the Wild Atlantic way in the heart of Clare. Not only will you get a great pint and super service but the trad sessions are out of this world.
It started off as a shoe business but quickly morphed into a pub. If you are a local or a tourist handing around the Dingle peninsula this is the place to find refuge.
7.Clancy's, Athy, Co Kildare
One of those places where you come for a pint and end up in the middle of a live music session having the time of your life. A proper proper Irish pub.
8.McCarthys, Fethard
A drak bar where as you sip your drink you can feel and smell the thousands of people who have been here before you. Exactly what every pub in the world should be like.
9. O'Donoghues, Dublin 2
It doesn't get more authentic than this and you can still feel the spirit of the Dubliner's playing here as you sup wonderful pints of Guinness.
10.Johnnie Fox's, Glencullen
Probably the most famous pub in Ireland and a place where tourists mix alongside locals with a casual charm. Great food and even better drinks.
11.The Beach Bar, Sligo
Just about as far West as you can go for a pint in Ireland and a wonderful place to escape the world. If you happen to be here when it is sunny outside you'll be in heaven.
12.The Stag's Head - Dublin
The key to this place is that it is as popular with the tourists as it is with the locals. Pints inside in the winter or spilling out onto the streets in the summer.
13.Kelly's Cellars, Belfast
You'll find very few Irish cities better than Belfast for the craic and when the music starts rocking in here, the pints are flowing or the weekend is in full flow this is the place to be for fun.
14.The Beachcomber Bar Rathmullan, Donegal
Probably a long drive from wherever you are in Ireland but once you get here you are in for a real treat, Ideally you'll come in summer and have some of the best views in the country with your drink.
Right across the road from the Europa hotel and literally one of the best bars in the world. Might seem like something from decades ago but have a pint and enjoy drinking in a historic setting.
