Cork Is Getting Loads Of New Restaurants In The Coming Weeks

James Fenton

What a great time to live in Cork.

The city is set to be treated to a pile of new restaurants in the coming weeks.

First and foremost, the much anticipated opening of Dublin burger institution Bunsen takes place this weekend on French Church Street.

Academy Street will be home to a branch of Dublin-based falafel chain Umi who will take up the buildings vacated by Zamora Tapas Bar.

Chef Rachel Allen is set to open a new Washington Street restaurant called ‘Rachel’s‘ on March 20 while a rotisserie called ‘Spitjack‘ will open on the same street later in the spring.

Finally an Asian-style eateries ‘Makan‘ will complete the set giving Corkonians a significant amount of options to keep them going for a while.
