A Flock of Pigeons Forced This Flight To Turn Back To Dublin

clodagh

An Aer Lingus flight from Naples to Dublin was forced to turn back, mid-flight, after it hit a flock of pigeons.

The plane had just left Naples, when pigeons flew into one of the engines. The flight EI451 left Naples at midday and was expected in Dublin at 3pm before the incident took place.

Passengers must now wait, as the flight has since been diverted, and is expected to arrive in Dublin at around 23:15.

Pesky pigeons.
