The cities of Dublin and Cork are separated by only 266km but when it comes to takeaway food, the two are worlds apart.
Deliveroo has revealed the ordering habits of Ireland’s two biggest cities and the results are quite telling.
Dubliners are more inclined to stick with western style grub with burgers being a big favourite. Those in the Rebel County, however, prefer to tuck into some Asian cuisine.

Interestingly, the time in which both cities like to order varies too. Dubliners prefer to sit down with a takeaway at 8pm on Saturday while Leesiders prefer 7pm on Sunday.
Liam Keenan, General Manager of Deliveroo Ireland says:
“It’s fascinating to discover the geography of taste in Dublin and Cork, and it’s clear that food tastes can be as different as regional accents and dialects.
“Interesting too is when people are ordering. It would seem Dubliners are more inclined to swap a wild night out on a Saturday for a relaxing night-in, while Corkonians want to round off their weekend with a delicious food delivery from their favourite local Deliveroo restaurants on a Sunday evening.”
