Guinness Doughnuts Now Exist And We’re In Heaven

James Fenton

While we all know it’s a Paddy’s Day tradition to raise a pint of the plack stuff, this year Guinness have provided a perfect ally for theit famous stout.

The team at the Guinness Storehorse has teamed up with Dublin doughnut institution Aungier Danger to create a donut which:

“marries the bold flavours of Guinness with a dark cocoa donut, filled with a moreish Belgian chocolate mousse to perfectly compliment the malty sweetness and roast character of the beer.'”

The new doughnut is exclusively available on March 17 at the Guinness Storehouse, as part of its 2017 St. Patrick’s Festival.

Now in its 11th year, the festival runs from tomorrow until Sunday and is sure to be a hub of green (and black) activities to help you pass what is always one of the best days of the year.

Allow Paul Carty, Managing Director at Guinness Storehouse to explain more:

The St. Patrick’s Day Festival at the Guinness Storehouse once again has an amazing line-up of entertainment and unique experiences. Guinness, the iconic black and white stout, has an intrinsic link to St. Patrick’s Day. Both are steeped in heritage and capture the true spirit of the day, celebration, pride and friendship – and what better place to celebrate our national holiday, than here at the Guinness Storehouse where you’ll enjoy a series of contemporary Irish experiences including Guinness and food pairings specially created for the celebrations and performances by a number of popular Irish musicians including The Eskies and DJ Mo Kelly.”

Sports fans will also be invited to cheer on the Irish during the highly anticipated RBS 6 Nations clash between Ireland and England, which will be screened at 5pm in the Guinness Storehouse Rugby Hub.

We’ll drink to that!
