The results of this year’s Best Kept Town Awards have been revealed.
The competition has five categories: village, small town, large town, large urban area, and overall winner. This year’s overall winner was Broughshane in County Antrim.
TD Michael Ring, Minister of State for Regional Economic Development, commended the winners of each category, saying,
After 21 years, this all-Ireland competition continues to be a strong recognition of the great pride people have in their own communities, and how local volunteers take ownership of their surroundings and work to improve them, both for now and into the future.
