Here Are The Most Dangerous Roads In Ireland Right Now

una

Chill Insurance recently conducted a survey in order to determine which roads were the most unsafe in the country.

The verdict was, of course, that the most dangerous of roads in Ireland are concentrated around the stunning yet treacherous mountain range routes.

Check out these perilous and precarious paths.

1. Gap of Dunloe, County Kerry

At 731 metres above sea level, this road isn’t for the faint-hearted. It treks through the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s tallest mountain range and contains many narrow passages where you’ll definitely run into one of the famous Killarney horse and traps.

Just watch out for the buses of tourists who frequent this route too.

2. The Cliffs of Moher, County Clare

Those surveyed reported the roads around the one of Ireland’s tallest tourist attraction to be quite a test indeed.

Another testing route in the county of Clare is the Corkscrew Hill. Just look at that bend.

3. Old Military Road, Wicklow

Dotted with blind spots and cursed with crosswinds, the Old Military Road in Wicklow is a testing track indeed.

And if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, the bogs in the surrounding area contribute to the road sinking every now and again.

Be careful if you ever find yourself cruising along any of these deadly drives.

Go n-éirí an bóthar leat!
