Ireland has an outstanding number of quality hotels throughout our pretty green lands, with the choice of fancy castles and cosy B&B’s for the picking.
One castle hotel in particular is well known as a firm favourite among Irish people and tourists alike, and it’s just scooped the No.1 Hotel for Families in Europe by Family Vacation Critic, a subsidiary of Tripadvisor.
Dromoland Castle, a five star castle hotel in Clare, has taken the top spot of best hotels for families to go on their holidays in Europe – pretty impressive.
In order for a hotel to be in with a chance of the top spot, they have to meet a criteria that includes having been visited and rated at least four stars by a hotel expert from Family Vacation Critic as well as getting at least 75% rating from families that have stayed there.
The Merrion Hotel in Dublin and Ashford Castle in Mayo came a respective second and third, so clearly people are looooving Irish hospitality.
