If you’re counting the days until payday, it might be best not to read on.
Those who are curious though will be interested in the 2019 Sunday Times Irish Rich List which was published today. Coming out on top of the pile were the Weston family, whose empire includes the likes of Penneys, Brown Thomas and Selfridges. The clan were listed as having a wealth of around €11.932 billion. Not bad if you can get it.
In second place were Patrick and John Collison, owners of technology company Stripe, who have amassed €5 billion. They are followed by Campbell’s Soup heir John Dorrance with €2.6 billion.
The richest entertainers on the list are U2 with a combined fortune of €662 million, while golfer Rory McIlroy took home €157 million throughout the year.
