A Choir Of Irish Secondary School Students Sang ‘Zombie’ As Gaeilge And It’s Genuinely Class

seank

It’s our humble opinion that every song in existence can be infinitely improved by being translated into the Irish language… with the possible exception of ‘Shakaron’ by El Mudo.

To prove my point, let’s look at the as Gaeilge rendition of Zombie by the students of Laurel Hill Secondary School in Limerick. According to the Limerick Leader, more than 300 pupils took part in the performance that was their tribute to the recently departed Dolores O’Riordan of The Cranberries, who also hailed from Limerick, as part of Seachtain Na Gaeilge 2018.

And it was a genuinely fantastic version of the classic tune

Now it’s just a matter of time before the Colaiste Lurgan Vs Laurel Hill Secondary School battle of as Gaeilge bands commences.
