This Is One Of The Most Scenic Spots In Ireland To Enjoy A Pint Outside

Whenever I get a chance, I love hitting the road and heading to Dunmore East in Co. Waterford for a couple of nights. The village is as peaceful as you can get and whenever the sun shines you'd think you were somewhere on the continent. Whenever we get any kind of nice weather here, us Irish people tend to be drawn to finding the nearest beer garden and Dunmore East's The Strand Inn is as scenic a beer garden as anywhere else in Ireland. Located about a five-minute walk down the hill from the main village, The Strand boasts a large outdoor seating area where visitors can enjoy a drink while watching the waves coming and going in the sea. At the height of summer, you'll see people in their wetsuits, quenching their thirst after partaking in some water sports and there's always a great hum of locals and visitors who might just be down for the weekend. Inside, The Strand offers a selection of rooms for people to stay and the restaurant allows guests to enjoy their breakfast, lunch or dinner with enviable views over the sea. Live music is a feature once the sun goes in as many guests stay on for a few hours to round off the evening. Dunmore East is just a couple of hours away from Dublin by car and while there, The Strand is a must-visit.
