Get yourself something tasty while you soak up that sun this week
Wicklow has some amazing spots to enjoy the sunshine. This week's weather looks to be pretty good with temperatures hitting as high as 20 degrees, and what better place to spend it than by the sea. Here's a list of eight places in and around Wicklow that do some unreal food to keep you going.
1. Burrito Box
Their motto is "peace, love and burritos" and we're all about it. Open Wednesday to Sundays, Burrito Box is a little bit of heaven for Mexican food enthusiasts. Get down there between 1pm and 9pm for delicious burritos or boxes. Burrito Box is located by The Boatyard in Greystones.
2. Tall Boy Toasties
Look at that melted cheese. Tall Boy Toasties serves gourmet style toasted sandwiches that just look phenomenal. They also serve nitro cold brew coffee which is a huge bonus! They are closed on Mondays but open 11:30-5:30 every other day.
3. The Grey Dog Café
Located in Wicklow town, this café sells the most divine ice-cream. They are perfect to take with you to the seafront and soak up the sun. If you're looking for a more substantial feed, they also sell amazing pizzas and tacos. The Grey Dog Café opens 9am to 10pm everyday.
4. Paco's Tacos
Located beside The Fat Fox café in Greystones (which is also worth a visit), Paco's Tacos is open Wednesday-Sunday and serves a delicious range of wine and tacos, including vegetarian and vegan options. It has a great aesthetic as well so it's good for the Instagram feed. They accept walk-ins only, so why not drop by once you've enjoyed the beach?
5. Platform Pizza
This decadent pizza parlour does some amazing Italian dishes. Located beside the Bray Dart Station, it's bound to fill you up after a long day in the sun. They also do an amazing selection of dips for your pizza, so there's something for everyone. Platform Pizza closes on Mondays and Tuesdays, but opens Wednesday-Sunday - check out their opening hours here.
6. Box Burger
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, Box Burger does some of the most incredible burgers around. Located on the Strand Road in Bray, these award-winning burgers will take that hangry edge off in no time.
7. Bear Paw Deli
The Bear Paw Deli has three locations: Delgany, Enniskerry, and Greystones. They do super high quality takeaway food and pastries, as well as coffee. I mean, just look at these buttercream biscuits with lime sugar - to die for! Check out all their opening hours here.
8. Firehouse Bakery
Just look at the height of those sandwiches. Firehouse bakery really knows its stuff, making stunning baked goods and sandwiches. This bakery has two locations, one in Delgany and one in Wicklow town. You can check out their individual opening hours here.
