New season of The Young Offenders will return to screens sooner than expected

Darragh Murphy

We officially have a date for the second season of The Young Offenders.

We found out earlier this week, thanks to PJ Gallagher, that the hilarious comedy series would be returning to our screens at some stage in November but Gallagher, who plays Principal Walsh in the show, couldn’t reveal the exact date.

But now we know when we’ll get our next fix of Conor and Jock’s latest antics as the BBC website states that the first episode of The Young Offenders Season Two will air on Sunday, November 3 on BBC Three.

There is a synopsis of the first episode on the BBC website which you can read in full here but for a little teaser, here’s what you can expect if you tune in to see the return of the Cork duo.

The website states: “Irresponsible friends Conor and Jock are up to their old tricks again, this time trying to outsmart Gardaí by doing the exact opposite of what they would expect – with hilariously disastrous consequences.”

At the time of writing, we don’t know when the new season of The Young Offenders will be shown on RTÉ.

The Young Offenders movie was released in 2016 to critical acclaim and commercial success, before a six-part television season was commissioned. Episodes of the first season appeared on BBC Three and RTÉ 2.
