Woah – Is This The Best College Degree In Ireland?

We've all had a few drinks (and maybe a few more) while on college campus.

We might even have went to lectures after those drinks, much to the annoyance of our lecturers, we're sure!

Here is a degree that would change the college drinking game forever.

Institute of Technology Carlow recently launched the country’s first Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree programme in Brewing & Distilling.

This is the first ever programme of its kind in Irish universities and is actually the result of two years research and development by Carlow IT.

If you feel like brewing and distilling is your calling, but feel that going back to University isn't for you, they even offer courses for employees, which include modules on yeast biology, malting and brewing raw materials, the brewing process, distillation and distilled spirits production and post distillation downstream processing.

Carlow IT are now offering 18 places on a four-year honours degree in brewing and distilling, the first year of which started last September.
