A family-owned corner wine bar has opened in Bray

Bray residents have a new local.

Bray proves over and over again that it is an underrated spot for food and drink (an award they officially took home in March from none other than Time Out Magazine). Just weeks ago they welcomed Echo Bar, a music focused venue with a stellar line-up for December, including the likes of Mano Le Tough, Lil Dave, and The Drifter, and as of December 1st, there’s also a new local wine bar to check out.

Conlon’s can be found nestled in the corner of Brennan’s parade, a family-run wine bar with low lighting and red brick walls to encompass a cosy atmosphere that just demands to be settled into.

Heading the drinks selection are Dublin Cocktail Lab and Wine Lab, so you know you’re in good hands here.

All good wine bars need a snacking list, and while I have long-time beef with the concept of small plates (you know, the kind that charge €15 for a smear of pate on a cracker), the food offering at Conlon’s is reasonably priced. You will be able to order the likes of olives, almonds, pickles and peppers, pan con tomate, burrata (our fave), pate and toast, with most snacks costing between €3 and €5.

2023 has taught us that we’re all into picky bits (it’s a little thing called girl dinner, ever heard of her?), and if you’re heading to Conlon’s for some vino and food, you can also order a meat and cheese platter for €25.

Currently the bar is walk-in only, with a booking system expected to go live on their website soon.

Conlon’s Wine Bar opens Wednesday to Friday from 5pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm.
