If you’re a fan of cheese toasties, you absolutely have to check out the incredible new melt menu at this Galway spot.
56 Central has given its menu a makeover and it’s got a whole section dedicated to delicious toasties.
The popular Shop Street spot has unveiled a brand new menu of cheesy melts made with sourdough bread and if you’re already a fan of their famous Cajun chicken melt, these new additions won’t disappoint.
New additions include the Vegan Tofu Delight Melt made with smokey maple hickory tofu, oven roasted tomato and melted vegan cheese; the Kickin’ Chicken & Bacon Melt made with chicken, bacon, melted cheddar cheese and chipotle mayo; and the ‘Auld’ Country Classic Melt made with home-cooked ham, melted cheddar cheese, tomato, onion and mayo.
How good do these look, though?
The madeover menu also sees the addition of some new burger options including the Head Chef’s Favourite Burger loaded with beer battered onion rings, black pudding, beef tomato, cheese, lettuce, chipotle mayo and served with ‘skin on’ fries.
There’s also plenty of vegan dishes including the new improved Vegan Buddha Bowl, made with sweet potato hummus, roasted broccoli, beetroot hummus, sun blushed tomato giant couscous, marinated olives, mixed leaves and seeds, served with an organic pita bread.
Make sure you check out their rooftop Buddha Zen Garden on warmer days as it’s a perfect little suntrap to while away an afternoon in.
56 Central’s new menu is available Monday to Thursday from 12pm until 6pm, Thursday to Saturday from 12pm until late and Sundays from 1pm until 5pm.
