PICS: Someone Has Created A Cheeky Tallaght Lidl Looting Float In Galway

Darragh Berry

This isn’t just any old float. A lot of work has gone into it and there’s even characters portraying the looters and Gardaí.

Spiddal in Co. Galway probably wins the award for best float of Paddy’s Day in 2018 (the jury is still out, there’s plenty of time left in the day yet.)

A mini digger was planted on the back of a trailer alongside a make-shift ‘Lidl store’ with people surrounding it with bread and other items in their hands.

People dressed as Gardaí then pretended to arrest people from the float and dragged them away, while others got away and started ‘cracking open’ the safe.

It’s a cheeky float to put together especially with the mayhem that was caused…

But, it’s very well put together all the same and you can tell that a lot of effort went into it.
