A Dog Friendly Hotel Has Reopened In Kerry After An €18 Million Makeover

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This is an article about a fancy five-star DOG FRIENDLY hotel. 

Dreams do come true, boo. 

The five-star Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, located close to one of Ireland’s most iconic tourist destinations, the Gap of Dunloe, officially opened its doors last Friday after undergoing a stunning 18-month renovation of the restaurant, bar, reception, lobby and lounge spaces.

The hotel is set on its own 64 acre estate leading to the ruins of the 12th century castle and River Laune and you can go horse riding, play tennis or go fishing all on the grounds of the hotel. 

The interior design combines existing pieces of furniture and artwork with a whole new fit- out that is rich in texture and detail, completed with bold wallpapers and traditional tiles and it looks faaaab. 

But now to the most important part: you can bring your pooch 

For a charge of just €10 per dog per night, The Dunloe offers dog friendly accommodation for your dog, whether it is in one of their luxurious kennels, or in one of their pet friendly hotel guest rooms.

The moment you arrive at The Dunloe, you will be greeted with a welcome pack full of yummy goodies for your dog including a pet toy, pet treat and clean-up bags and in your pet friendly hotel room, you’ll discover a food and water bowl with a floor mat, special pet treats, pet beds and a doggy throw (to cover the sofa with, should that be your pet’s preferred sleeping place.)
