These Are The Worst Towns In Ireland According To Reddit

James Fenton

Of course, this doesn’t reflect the views of anyone at Lovin Media Group but a Reddit post about the worst towns in Ireland has been brought to our attention today.

Johnson1996 asked fellow users “Anyone know what the worst towns in Ireland are?” and it seems to have sparked something of a debate.

It appears that two towns have emerged as the most popular answers, namely Larne in Co. Antrim and Athy in Co. Kildare.

mattshill said:

“The answers Larne.  Answers other than Larne are wrong. Larne’s best rated attraction on trip advisor is the road out of Larne, the second best rated is the boat out of Larne.”

While Lahmater added:

“Agreed. Although Athy is Leinsters Larne.”

fizzy04 went even harsher by saying:

“Athy, the arsehole of Ireland”

While cogra23 hit out at Larne with:

“There a 2 types of people in this thread. People who recognise that Larne is a toilet and people who have never been to Larne.”

Ouch. You can check out the full thread below but be warned, if you’re from any of the places mentioned, prepare to be offended.
