Are you a brunch lover?

Come Sunday, do you crave hollandaise?

And finally, are you broken-hearted when you go home to the country on weekends only to find that your local doesn’t stock elderflower cordial?

Well, now you don’t have to be.

It’s not only Dublin who does brunch these days, you know?

Ubh Café in Newbridge, County Kildare has just opened up, and we want to shout about it.

They’ve maintained a modest profile online with mere hints of their artisanal treats thus far, but we’ve caught a good glimpse of what they’re all about, and we’re hooked.

Because it looks a little like this…

We know.

The gorgeous lunch spot boasts ever-changing menus, with ingredients like fig and pomegranate taking centre stage.

To drink, they roast their own fresh and delicious coffee – to wash down dishes like Rosemary and Buckwheat Potato Rosti, Roast Pumpkin Wilted Kale and Hazelnut Aioli and Charred Rhubarb, Roast Beetroot and Smoked Gubbeen Cheese.

Their menus also cater to all tastes, desires and moods – with vegetarian and vegan options aplenty, everything from sweet to savoury and a specials board that would knock your socks off.

They even make their own marshmallow, guys.

This is homegrown food for the ages.

The powers-that-be at Ubh put their heart and soul into providing you with a tasty, fresh and different meal, and let us tell you – it really shows.

Should you find yourself in the Lilywhite county any time soon, we implore you to taste test Ubh – and do yourself a favour and get the Rosemary Tonic Water.

Just trust us.

Ubh Café is located on George’s Street, Newbridge, County Kildare.
