Hard to believe Culture Night has come around once again. The 2022 edition of Culture Night takes place on the 23rd September across the country, with over 300 free events, and each county going all out to celebrate. While there are simply way too many events to list, we have compiled some of our top picks.

Dublin

Fruit & Veg Market, Night Moves: A celebration of Dublin’s current cross-generational club culture while looking forward to the future of clubbing in the city. Perfect for Culture Night 2022.

Galway

Multinational Food Event: This Culture Night event will focus on the food of eight different nationalities and aims to showcase how important food is to each culture.

Words in Motions – Spoken Word Culture on Culture Buses: Hop on a Bus Eireann Culture Bus and enjoy Words in Motion, a collective of Cork’s poets and writers reading from their works, curated by Munster Literature Centre.

Derry

Jazz, Folk and Funk Trail: Beginning at The Guildhall, this mini trail of Jazz and original music by some of Derry’s finest musicians.

Kilkenny Famine Experience: The Kilkenny Union Workhouse has now become the MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre, but this tour will teach you about the former workhouse and the people that lived there.

Sunset Bat Walk: Learn all about all about the the secret life of bats and watch and hear the bats along the Liffey.

Street Art – Festival of Cultures: Ukrainian street artist Alina Vorobiova will be rendering an art piece on the wall of Lovell Bros Hardware store. Alina will work on the mural from Friday through to Sunday. Call up and say hello.
