At this stage, a large proportion of phone users communicate almost entirely in emoji speak so it makes sense that a few more are introduced to get the message across.
To mark World Emoji Day, Apple has today launched more than 70 new emojis, all of which will be available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac by the end of the year.
The new characters include redheads, bald people, a freezing cold face (useful for Irish winter) as well as a kangaroo and a parrot (perhaps not as useful in this part of the world.)
There’s also a ‘pleading face’ which will be ideal when ya need bae to bring over a hangover-curing takeaway.
Extra characters are expected to be launched later this year across sports, symbols and more including a new superhero emoji, a softball, and infinity symbol.
