The much-anticipated Hamilton movie premiered on Disney+ over the weekend, and fans have been absolutely loving the filmed version of the popular Broadway show.
One of the most popular Broadway musicals of recent years, the live capture recording of hit show Hamilton debuted on Disney+ on Friday night. Giving fans the chance to be in the room where it happened (if you know, you know), the Hamilton movie has unsurprisingly proven to be a huge hit with fans.
Especially Irish fans, many of whom would probably never get the chance to see the show otherwise - tickets sell out in seconds so getting your hands on them is a near-impossible task. Trust me, I've tried.

Your reminder to all new fans of #Hamilton that Hercules Mulligan was in fact from near Coleraine in Northern Ireland.
So imagine James Nesbitt rapping to get an idea of what I'm talking about... pic.twitter.com/nCu7YEg7Wp— Claire Allan #TheNurse 💉 (@ClaireAllan) July 4, 2020
Telling the story of one of the lesser-known (and often forgotten) founding fathers of America, Alexander Hamilton, the movie's premiere was aptly timed with the Fourth of July festivities over in the USA.
As for what else will be hitting Disney+ later this month? Other movies to look forward to include Frozen 2 - now streaming on Disney+ and better than the first in my opinion as well as the new unscripted Muppets Now due to premiere at the end of this month.
