Huge win for Ireland and the lads.

Three Irish actors are up for Golden Globes in the ‘Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama’ category.

The awards, which take place next month, will see Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy, and Andrew Scott all go head-to-head in the same category.

Keoghan is nominated for his role in ‘Saltburn’, Murphy for his role in ‘Oppenheimer’, and Scott for ‘All of Us Strangers’.

Other nominees in the category include Bradley Cooper for ‘Maestro,’ Leonardo DiCaprio for his role in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, and Colman Domingo in ‘Rustin’.

This is the second time each of the Irish actors has been nominated for a Golden Globe.

Keoghan was nominated for his supporting role in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ last year, while Murphy received a nomination for ‘Breakfast at Pluto’ in 2006.

Scott was previously nominated for his role in ‘Fleabag’.

Elsewhere, the new movie ‘Poor Thing’s, starring Emma Stone, which was produced by Irish company, Element Pictures, has received several nominations.

The awards will take place on January 7th, 2024 in Beverley Hills.
