Fans of Westlife rejoiced last week when it was announced that the lads would be getting back together for a new tour. Alas, it would seem the reunion will be of the later era variety i.e, a foursome rather than the original quintet.
Yep, while Nicky, Kian, Mark and Shane are reportedly preparing for a major show at Croke Park, Brian will be at home twiddling his thumbs. Or so we thought.
It was been confirmed by ITV this morning that Brian will be taking to the ice rink as a contestant on the 2019 edition of Dancing On Ice.

The Dubliner will be joined by fellow late-90s icon Richard Blackwood as well TV presenter Saira Khan and reality star Gemma Collins among others.
Speaking on Lorraine this morning, Brian spoke of his excitement by saying “I’ve already been practising out the back garden on my rollerblades and my mammy says I’m a one man Torvill and Dean so watch this space.”
As long as Brian has less time to post ill-advised social media comments like this one, we’re sure everyone will be happy.
