Paul Mescal has shared a lovely message to his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones on her birthday.
People always say never meet your heroes because the expectation vs reality is too great and you'll end up disappointed. That has never been much of a worry for me, given that I live in the back arse of nowhere and there's no possibility I'll run into anyone even remotely famous (unless Maura Higgins makes her grand return to Longford sometime soon... here's hoping).
But, what does
worry me, is the fear of learning that my favourite characters don't get on in real life. Imagine watching two people banter off each other onscreen only to learn that they hate each other's guts in real life... kind of ruins the magic a little, doesn't it? Thankfully, there's no such worry with the two stars of Normal People who appear to be as good friends off our tellies as they are on them.
A fact he's proven true with his sweet tribute to her on her birthday. Posting a number of photos of the leading lady on Instagram, Paul wrote:
