Gogglebox is looking for Irish people abroad to take part in a Christmas special

James Fenton

Gogglebox Ireland has issued a callout to Irish people living abroad for a special Christmas edition of the popular Virgin Media show.

Coronavirus restrictions mean that many Irish citizens won’t be able to return to our shores this Christmas but we’ll still be able to come together online like we have done all year. Gogglebox Ireland wants to help out with this by inviting Irish people abroad to take part in a Christmas special.

A casting call issued by Kite Entertainment says that the programme is looking for Irish people living in the UK, Germany or New Zealand who would be willing to take part in a ‘very special Gogglebox Ireland Christmas edition’. If you know anyone that might be interested, all they have to do is email [email protected] and they could find themselves on the telly in their homeland this coming festive season.

We all have someone we’ll miss this Christmas so why not have a catch up in front of the eyes of the nation? Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
