The first trailer for season four of The Crown is here and it definitely cranks up the tension ahead of November’s big release.
The Crown fans have already been given glimpses of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher but the new trailer gives us more of an insight into how the drama will unfold.
Set against the backdrop of Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding, the trailer gives us a sense of the journey the former undertakes as she goes from being the little-known girlfriend of the heir to the throne to a global celebrity, attracting crowds wherever she goes.
We get to see Diana enjoying some lighter moments during her rise to fame and there are also some shots of Charles and his mother the Queen (Olivia Colman) in apparent stand-offs. There’s also some decent footage of Anderson as Thatcher and Princess Margaret gets plenty of screen time as well.
The Crown is due for release on Netflix on November 15 and you can check out the trailer below…
