‘Great British Bake Off’ to welcome Louis Theroux and Ovie Soko into the tent amongst others

Sarah Finnan

The Great British Bake Off is set to welcome some very famous faces onto the show with Louis Theroux and Ovie Soko amongst them.

This follows on from the roaring success of the festive special that aired on New Year’s Day.

Starring the cast of the hit show Derry Girls, the reaction to the celebrity episode was overwhelmingly positive with some even petitioning for a series-long spin-off.

While there’s no news of another Derry Girls Bake Off as of yet, the show has announced that the Great Celebrity Bake Off in aid of Stand Up To Cancer will return for another series.

Hooray!

Airing on Channel 4 sometime this year (date still to be announced), the five-part series of the Great British Bake Off will see actors, comedians, entertainers and athletes put on their aprons and face the judges.

Other big names announced for an appearance include You’re Beautiful crooner James Blunt, Queer Eye star Tan France and comedian Russell Howard.

As well as Kelly Brook, James Buckley, Patsy Palmer, and Scarlett Moffatt amongst others.

Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be on hand to oversee proceedings along with judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.

Get the popcorn ready because this is going to be epic.
