Great news Derry Girls fans – Erin’s Diary is hitting shops in November

James Fenton

Fans of Derry Girls will know that Erin Quinn’s diary plays quite a pivotal role in the series.

It’s there in the very first scene when Erin catches her cousin Orla leafing through it and it provides insights into the mind of the show’s lead character throughout the series. Well, great news because if you’ve ever fancied a bit of a gawk at it yourself, you’ll be able to do so this coming autumn.

Stylist Magazine has revealed that Erin’s Diary will hit bookshelves in November, providing readers with all the secrets contained in the frazzled head of a teenage Erin Quinn. The woman herself, played by Saoirse-Monica Jackson, has given us all a sneak preview of what will be between the covers in the video below…

The Derry Girls tie-in comes out on November 12 and will be produced by Orion Publishing Group. Saoirse-Monica has posted some images of herself with Erin’s prized possession on Instagram, along with the caption ‘Erin’s Diary is out in November & you should really read it our she’ll be absolutely raging at you.’

It’s not clear if that warning applies to Orla or not. Erin’s Diary, series three of Derry Girls AND a potential movie to come? We’re being truly spoiled.
