It’s giving pop starlet, it’s giving viral TikTok songs, it’s giving your little sisters’ Spotify Unwrapped.

Just in time for you to add them to your Christmas list, tickets for Electric Picnic 2023 go on sale this Friday and the first 10 acts on the lineup have been announced.

Billie Eilish will headline the weekend along with Lewis Capaldi and Fred Again, with Niall Horan, Steve Lacy, Tom Odell, IDLES, Jamie xx, Rick Astley and Amyl & The Sniffer also all set to take the Stradbally stage.

This will be Billie’s second time performing at Electric Picnic – she first played the festival back in 2019, when it was still possible for Dave Fanning to interview her about being on the cusp of fame. She’s now one of the most well known artists in the world, the youngest singer ever to write and perform a James Bond song and a multi-award winner, so it’ll be great to have her back, tbf.

Best pals Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi are also bound to have pop lovers rushing to nab tickets this Friday, if the hype around their impromptu Grafton Street busk was anything to go by.

Meanwhile UK producer and remixer Fred Again will no doubt be a pull for many after the hype around his 3Olympia Theatre gig last month.

All in all, probably the exact type of lineup the die-hard, “I’ve-been-going-since-2004” EP heads would vehemently resent. But no doubt the first round of tickets will be sold out in minutes – set those alarms for Friday morning if you’re looking to nab one.

Tickets for Electric Picnic will be available via Ticketmaster.
