Holly Willoughby leads suppport for Phillip Schofield’s coming out

Holly Willoughby has shown her support for friend Phillip Schofield following his coming out.

Popular TV presenter and personality, Holly Willoughby has posted a heartfelt message in support of her friend, colleague and co-host Phillip Schofield.

Phillip revealed the news this morning, posting a moving statement to his social media.  Married to his wife Steph for almost 27 years, he wrote:

“You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing – and so you won’t know what has been consuming me for the last few years… I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.”

Uploading a photo of the two together, Holly captioned the pic:

“Never been more proud of my friend than I am today. We’ll be together at 10am on This Morning x”.

A host of other celebrity pals have also been showing their support with the likes of stylist to the stars Angie Smith, comedian Keith Lemon and reality TV star Vicky Patterson all commenting.

Fellow UK presenter Dermot O’Leary sent his love to both Phillip and Holly, writing: “big love to you and the fox x”.

Other famous faces to post messages to Philip include Laura Whitmore and Maura Higgins, both of whom shared their own photos.
